Our Family
Meet James & Alex, the visionaries behind Oak One's journey. Hailing from China, James was a prominent real estate developer in Chongqing before his American adventure. Amid the pandemic, James, Alex and their two kids embarked on a road trip across the U.S., seeking not just a place to live but a community to invest in. Bentonville, Arkansas, captured their hearts instantly – from the charming town aesthetics to the thriving economy, it was the perfect fit. Our inaugural project, Oak One, is taking shape in downtown Bentonville promising a vibrant addition to the cityscape by this summer.
Alex, James' wife and COO of Sun Group brings a wealth of education and compassion to our team. A graduate of Duke, Columbia, and Harvard University, she's also a proud alumna of Peking University. Alex's love for the Chinese language and culture took her to rural China after the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, where she dedicated herself to helping affected children.
